We welcome you to come and learn, develop and create with all things clay at one of our pottery classes. No experience required for our ceramic pottery course.
Learn the basics of making and glazing your work. You will be taught all the tips and tricks for pottery making so you can develop your ceramic skills.

COMPLETE BEGINNERS MOST WELCOME!
Our pottery classes are for those who are looking to attend on a regular basis, to develop their skills in working with and glazing clay. You will work on your own pieces, guided and supported by Jo. A curated Pinterest Board is availabile to those who book, to provide thousands of ideas for inspiration. You will learn the three basic skills of handbuilding: pinch; coil & slab. You will develop your skill set using a combination of these three techniques. You will learn about glazing and how to add different glazing techniques to your work to achieve interesting outcomes. There will also be opporutnuity to cast pieces from slip molds.

To BOOK onto a POTTERY WORKSHOP or for POTTERY PAINTING please scroll down to the next section where all current dates are listed. Once you have booked your place, Jo will get in touch to request payment and to chat about your experience etc.
POTTERY WORKSHOP: £30pp per workshop.
POTTERY PAINTING: There is a £14 studio fee to include all equipment, materials and firing of your work. On the day of your workshop you will select which piece you wish to decorate. The final balance will depend on which pieces you choose to paint and how many you select - Items range from £6-£25.
Payment can be made in cash or card at the end of the workshop or via invoice emailed to you.
Minimum spend per workshop (including the studio fee): £20.
To BUY A VOUCHER please contact Jo at breakforthe breakfortheborder100@gmail.com. Jo will email the invoice and once paid, the voucher will be emailed to you for printing out. If you would like a hard copy of the voucher please let Jo know - £2.50 charge.
Vouchers can be customised with a name upon request.
To WORK ON THE WHEEL, beginners are encouraged to book a 1:1 or 2:1 wheel throwing workshop with Jo first.

One wheel available in the studio for students to share during group workshops. Once proficient on the wheel and used to the studio, you will be able to book private sessions on the wheel outside of group workshops - subject to availability.

Learn the basics of wheel throwing from how to centre your clay to pulling up, shaping and trimming your pot.
No experience required, Jo is used to teaching beginners.
Unlimited clay with up to the three best outcomes glazed and fired.
Private tuition with dedicated 1:1 or 2:1 teaching and support.
Collect your work from the studio once fired (or it can be posted out to you).

Fancy getting a group of friends together to have a private workshop led by Jo? This option is available for between 4 & 10 people for a Make and Decorate Pinch Pot and/or Pottery Painting.
Contact Jo to discuss your requirements and get a date booked in.
Alternatively, you can arrange a 1:1 or 2:1 wheel throwing workshop at a mutually agreed time.

If you're looking for a one-off hand building pottery making experience, this workshop is for you. Jo will take you through the techniques of forming a basic pinch pot which can then be turned into mug, animal or decorative pot. Let your imagination run wild or dip into Jo's curated Pinterest boards for plenty of ideas to get your creative juices going. You will be able to embellish your work with designs/shapes & patterns, plus glaze your pot.
